Don Pecano

Don Pecano is a Senior Vice President leading ARA’s Investment Risk Mitigation group, which is responsible for due diligence and transaction management of the firm’s acquisitions and dispositions. Since joining ARA, he has overseen due diligence and closing of over 150 transactions representing more than $8.5 billion in equity invested and 50 million square feet across industrial, residential, retail, and office properties. In addition to transactions, the Investment Risk Mitigation group is responsible for overseeing ARA’s development and construction efforts. Prior to joining ARA, Don was a Senior Associate at Keyser Marson Associates, a boutique real estate advisory firm in Los Angeles, where he was responsible for financial modeling, feasibility analysis, and other advisory services for a variety of real estate development, economic development, and public-private real estate transactions. Prior to that, he spent a year at Diamond & Associates, a leading affordable housing consultant in Philadelphia, where he assisted clients with obtaining diverse sources of financing including low-income tax credits (LIHTC), historic tax credits (HTC), and other local, state, and federal grants and loans. Mr. Pecano officially began his real estate career at Habitat for Humanity NYC where he managed the punchlist and warranty process for all new homes across the five boroughs of New York City.

Mr. Pecano has over 19 years of experience and earned a B.S.E. from Princeton University and a M.C.P. from University of Pennsylvania.
